Setting Powerful New Year’s Resolutions with Extended Studies
A Holiday Message from Extended Studies Dean Hugo Villar
This is the time of the year when we spread joy and caring for each other. And that's part of the mission of the Division of Extended Studies. Through education, information, and training, we provide the tools that are necessary for you to enhance your life and the lives of those who you love: your community, your family, and significant people in your life.
So, with that in mind, I know that many of us are starting to think about New Year's resolutions. This is the time when we start making plans and we start thinking about how to go the next step in our professional career or personal life – from getting into college to, “What do I do after I retire?” Or, “How do I acquire those next skills that are going to bring attention to my performance at work?” Throughout life, we have to continue to enrich ourselves so that we can achieve new heights.
When you think about your New Year's resolutions, those resolutions are better achieved when you are well-informed, and when you have the skills that are necessary to achieve your goals.
So, we are here to help. We are here to provide you with the tools that are needed to enrich your life and the lives of those whom you love. During this time, I want to wish you joy, laughter, and a lot of wisdom to make the right decisions for the coming year.
Best of luck and let us know if there is something that we can do for you. Put it in the comments section. We will be happy to hear from you!
