UC San Diego Extension to Offer Real Estate Workshop for First Time Homebuyers
To help local consumers increase their knowledge in real estate transactions and become more informed consumers, University of California San Diego Extension is offering "A Primer for First Time Homebuyers" workshop, which provides an opportunity for homebuyers to learn about the entire homebuying process in an unbiased, non-sales environment.
As part of the Money Essentials Series offered by UC San Diego Extension, “A Primer for First Time Homebuyers” will give an overview of the San Diego housing market, what to understand about the purchasing process and how to identify target properties.
Registration for the workshop is $45 and will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at Extension’s University City Center located at 6256 Greenwich Drive, 92122. Free parking and light breakfast will be included.
Leading the workshop is Timothy J. Cassidy, president, CEO, corporate broker and general contractor of Cassidy & Associates Real Estate, Inc. He holds a Juris Doctor law degree and has over 30 years of experience providing residential and commercial real estate sales, property management services, attorney support, and real estate expert witness and consulting services. Cassidy has been appointed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to the Assessment Appeals Board and is serving his 9th two-year term as chair of the Assessment Appeals Board #2. He has over 25 years of experience teaching real estate principles, real estate law, property management, MBA business law and business writing courses, and is a proven advocate in representing and educating residential buyers and sellers.
The UC San Diego Extension Money Essentials Series is designed to help consumers get their financial houses in order by offering workshops that will teach money management skills on a variety of topics from taxes to financial planning to homebuying.
