UC San Diego Extension Offers Money Essentials Series

To help people get their financial house in order in 2018, University of California San Diego Extension is launching its new Money Essentials Series, which will teach money management skills on a variety of topics from taxes to financial planning.

The series of courses include:

Participants can register for all four sessions for $150 or register for any individual session at $50 each. Each session will be held at Extension’s University City Center located at 6256 Greenwich Drive, 92122. The workshops run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and light breakfast will be provided.

Julia Dunlap, director of business and legal education for UC San Diego Extension, said the goal of these workshops is to give back to the community and help provide the basic information people need to make better decisions about their finances.

“Whether you are starting your first job, moving into your second career or beginning retirement, managing your finances is an essential part of life,” Dunlap said. “The Money Essentials Saturday Series is designed to provide unbiased information on money management to strengthen your financial literacy and help you plan for the future.”
