UC San Diego’s annual Founders Day will bring current Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla together with former chancellors Robert C. Dynes, Marye Anne Fox, and Richard C. Atkinson for a distinguished panel discussion themed on the university’s past, present and future.

To be held Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at 11:30 am, in the Price Center East Ballroom, "Through Their Eyes: A Conversation with Our Chancellors" promises to be a candid, wide-ranging discussion of UC San Diego’s rise to prominence, as seen through the eyes of its fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth chancellors.

The panelists will trace their involvement dating back to UC San Diego’s earlier days when Chancellor Atkinson (1980-1995) took the helm, through the years of rapid growth in the 1990s and 2000s under the leadership of Chancellors Dynes (1996-2003) and Fox (2004-2012), to this year’s completion of the first-ever strategic-planning initiative led by Chancellor Khosla (2014).

The theme for 2014's Founders Day, with activities Nov. 13-15, is "Curiosity, Passion, Transformation." The celebration commemorates the day UC San Diego was officially founded in November 1960.
