'Together we shine': A video celebration of UC San Diego

Did you know that UC San Diego Extension students who earn a Professional Certificate are eligible to become members of UC San Diego Alumni?

It's true.

This relationship further heightens the sense of pride that Extension students feel toward the university, its academic standards and  opportunities presented for achieving a successful career and fulfilling life.

That in mind, current and past Extension students surely will appreciate “Together We Shine,” a 2:30-minute video that celebrates the UC San Diego experience.

The script was written by Raymond Hardie, editor of “Triton: UC San Diego Alumni Magazine,” in collaboration with executive producer Suzi Sterner, producer/director/editor Mike Sterner, and narrator Jon Wadley.

The video does, indeed, shine.

“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved,” said Hardie, who is retiring in late August after 10 years as Triton editor. “When we put all the words and images together, there’s a kind of poetry and strength of purpose that reflects this great university.”

Published three times a year, Triton is distributed free to more than 100,000 UC San Diego Alumni members. Extension students who have earned certificates are encouraged to join.
