User Interface Design

Gain a strong understanding of user interface design so you can begin to learn how to be an interactive designer or enhance your design skills. This graphic and web design training course covers references, user experience (UX), and usability principles. Topics include psychological and interaction principles, requirements analysis, designing for different screens (web, TVs and mobile devices), design standards, style guides, techniques and visual design principles. Gain the perspective to give consumers a high-quality design experience so you can advance your career.
Prerequisite: Students should have moderate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud image manipulation programs including Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator.
Note: Online participants must have Adobe Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud) installed on their computers. Students will be utilizing LinkedIn Learning as a textbook reference guide. While not required, online students are encouraged to utilize subscription to LinkedIn Learning as a supplement to the course.

Instructor: Kristian Secor, M.S., Ed.D. Educational Technology
Developer, educator and author of web and mobile technologies.
Kristian Secor teaches Principle of User Experience, User Experience Design I, and User Interface Design for the User Experience (UX) Design certificate program.
He has taught web design topics ranging from server-side programming to user experience for ten years, and has taught over 200 courses in seventeen topics. He has produced websites for diverse markets such as school districts and sports franchises. He received a master's degree in eMedia from Quinnipiac University and an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University.
