Portuguese for Communication II

Level II is designed for beginners who have a working knowledge of the grammar covered in the first course of the series. Level II continues to focus on improving oral communication skills. Some of the topics that will be covered are ordering food, making plans for the future, describing routine activities, expressing preferences and feelings, talking about past events, asking about and discussing schedules, describing physical and emotional states. Students will also learn irregular verbs such as dar, ler, ver, vir, saber, conhecer, fazer, dizer, trazer, sair, and por. Level II covers chapters 3, 4, and 5 of the online textbook Ponto de Encontro Portuguese as a World Language. There will also be practice using online activities through the LingroHub platform.
