Peer Online Course Review
EDUC-X426.52
POCR Description: Faculty members assess and improve the quality of online courses through peer-to-peer reviews. The primary goal of POCR is to ensure that online courses are pedagogically sound, accessible, engaging, and aligned with best practices in higher education. Through this process, faculty course submitters receive constructive feedback from colleagues, which they can use to enhance course design, content delivery, accessibility, and student engagement. The review process is based on established quality standards outlined in the CVC-OEI Course Design Rubric and aims to create a culture of continuous improvement among online instructors. It is expected that any faculty who completes this process would be well-equipped to teach online at any community college or 4-year institution.
