This non-credit independent study is designed for international university students, recent graduates, or mid-career international professionals seeking to expand their global perspective, deepen industry knowledge, and strengthen professional competencies through experiential engagement in the U.S. context. Participants will engage in targeted fieldwork that includes informational interviews with San Diego-based leaders, site visits to companies and institutions, and observation of best practices within relevant sectors.? The course emphasizes applied learning through structured reflection, cross-cultural professional exchange, and strategic career development. Mentorship is provided to help participants identify goals, structure their activities, and synthesize insights into actionable takeaways. The flexible, self-directed format accommodates busy university students and professional schedules while maintaining academic integrity.?
