English Language Skills for Au Pairs: Intermediate and Advanced

Communicating meaningfully and fluently in English is an essential skill for au pairs living in the United States. This course provides you with multiple opportunities to practice and improve your language skills in the classroom, in workshops and during educational excursions in the San Diego area. You will learn how to describe your experiences and make comparisons regarding multiple subjects, including life in your home country and how it compares to your time in the United States. You will also deepen your understanding of American culture, traditions and expressions. In addition to discussing hypothetical future situations and the use of informal vs. formal language, you will also learn about San Diego history and culture, and American dialects.
