Documenting, Observing and Assessing Learning of Young Children

EDUC-42412

This course prepares individuals to assess young children in diverse settings. Individuals are trained in the art and science of observation and appropriate and detailed documentation, in order to assess and evaluate the learning progress young children are making. Individuals are trained to make programmatic and curricular changes based on assessment information.  

EDUC-42408 Child Growth and Development and EDUC-42410 Developmentally Appropriate Practices in Early Childhood are required prerequisites for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate program. If you'd like to enroll in this course on it's own, please email unexeduc@ucsd.edu.
