Directed Studies: American Workplace Experience

The American Workplace Experience course aims to build job, cultural and leadership knowledge through an introduction to U.S. business owners. The course consists of meetings with outside business owners and managers where participants will be able to experience an introduction to American business culture and apply skills and knowledge in a professional environment while working on a business problem with local business owners. Students will learn first-hand about the challenges and rewards that professionals face in their work. Upon completion, student will be better prepared to understand the world of work and better able to take advantage of future career opportunities.
