Course
Creating Inclusive Learning Environments: Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning
EDUC-X426.33
How can we create learning environments that work for all students from the start? Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provides a framework for designing flexible learning experiences that address learner variability and remove barriers to learning. This course explores the principles of UDL and accessibility in higher education, focusing on practical strategies for creating inclusive learning environments. Participants will learn how to design course materials, activities, and assessments that are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. We will examine both the technical aspects of accessibility and the pedagogical approaches that support diverse learners.
