The ACT entrance exam is used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. This multiple-choice test is used to measure a high school student's readiness for college within the fields of English, math, reading and science. In addition, the test aims to provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all student applicants. The importance of ACT scores in the college application process does vary from school to school, but as a rule of thumb, the higher a high school student scores on the ACT, the more options they have for attending and paying for college.

Students will learn exclusive test-taking tactics specifically designed to increase their scores. Students will learn strategies and techniques based on actual test data geared towards their strengths and weaknesses.

What You Will Learn

 
Students will focus on the following four ACT sections:
  • English
  • Math
  • Reading
  • Science
In addition, students will focus on the optional 40-minute Writing Test. Please note that some colleges may require students to complete the ACT Writing Test and each student should check with their college’s admissions policies.

He has served as a technical editor for the IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine for 10 years, a guest editor for the IEEE Communications Magazine (twice) and IEEE JSAC, and an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer. His IEEE tutorials were sponsored 8 times by industry. Cisco Systems launched its first wireless product using 18,000 printed copies of one of his books. In addition, he was invited by Qualcomm and Comcast to conduct on-site courses, and the NSF to serve as a panelist on residential broadband. Among the various research, teaching, and industry awards he has received include the NAB Technology Innovation award. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering.
