This course uses the case study of a fictional global zombie pandemic based on the best-selling novel “World War Z” to apply global health policy principles to a global health emergency. Students will explore applying concepts of epidemiology, panic and response, migration and refugees, health communication, drug discovery, ethics, politics and the role of the military, and biosecurity to the case study via group work as an expert commission.
