TESOL Practicum

EDUC-80061

The final component of the Professional Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is a 60-hour practicum equivalency that allows candidates to test their newly developed knowledge and skills by working with an experienced ESL professional. Growth is achieved through reflection of practice and by connecting concepts learned in prior coursework to support professional growth in the field of TESOL.

Notes: All students planning to complete the practicum are required to attend an orientation meeting, in-person or online. Prerequisites for this course are as follows: EDUC 40093 (previously offered as EDUC 30018), EDUC 40544 (previously offered as EDUC 30544), EDUC 40408 (previously offered as EDUC 30408), LING 40000, LING 40005, EDUC 40756 (previously offered as EDUC 30756), and LING 40031.
