This course provides students with perspectives on working with adults from diverse backgrounds in divergent settings. This course focuses on the differentiation of teaching and training to build upon the educational and life experiences of adult learners. Special topics include: current issues in teaching adults; compacting content; pacing; working with non-native speakers of English; and project-based teaching and training.

Note: This course is a core requirement for the professional certificate in Teaching Adult Learners. EDUC 30989/40989 Introduction to Teaching Online and EDUC 30990/40990 Foundations of Curriculum Design and Evaluation are the course prerequisites. Previously offered as EDUC 31266.
