Singing I
Singing is one of the greatest expressions of joy human beings can share. Learn the fundamentals of good singing—including posture, breath control, and voice production—in a friendly and supportive environment. Develop basic skills in projection, diction, and artistic interpretation and learn to perform with a live pianist.
Students will be guided through technical exercises, and will work on songs of various styles in both group and solo settings. Topics to be covered include vocal anatomy, posture, breathing, and emotional expression. As your confidence grows, you will sing a solo of your choice and ensemble pieces with your classmates, and will present your work in an informal final performance open to friends and family.
This course is oriented towards beginners, but singers of all levels are welcome.
