This four-week, online course offers educators an opportunity to build background knowledge and develop cultural competence to deepen connections and build conditions for learning in support of their work with students of refugee and migrant backgrounds. Participants will complete one miniproject (from a list of options) for each of the four modules, participate in online discussions, and attend at least two of the four offered weekly 90-minute virtual meetups with their cohort. Participants will also have an (optional) opportunity to apply for two micro-credentials associated with the content of this course. The course is participant-centered and job-embedded, meaning all projects directly connect and apply to the participant’s teaching and learning context.
