This intensive workshop spans two half-days (August 28-29, 2024) and offers thorough training to help owners and operators of construction projects, consultants, engineers and legal professionals to fully understand the New California Stormwater Construction General Permit (CGP). Day One, August 28th : Reissued Construction General Permit Fundamentals, 8:30am - 2:30pm

Gain an understanding to the California Construction General Permit (CGP) 2002-0057-DWQ. Topics include:

  • Preconstruction and Planing Issues
  • Understanding the Permit: Covered Facilities, Risk Assessment, SWPPPs, and SMARTS
  • Legal Perspectives, Complexities, Liabilities and Common Pitfalls.
  • Regulator Perspective - Interpretation of the Resissued Permit.


Day Two, August 29th: Field Implementation, 8:30am - 2:30pm

Learn from industry experts about:

  • QSD / QSP Responsibilities
  • Qualifying Precipitation Events 
  • Visual Monitoring and Sampling Requirments 
  • Passive Treatment Technologies / Active Treatment Systems
  • Demolition Activities
