AutoCAD is a design and drafting software application that is widely used by architects, engineers and other professionals. This class will give high school students a hands-on introduction to this popular software. High school students will begin by getting familiar with AutoCAD commands and menu systems. High school students will also learn two-dimensional drawing commands, dimensioning, layering systems and drafting techniques. By the end of the course, high school students will be comfortable developing and assembling a construction document, including drafting symbols, fixtures and a floor plan.
