This course will cover current methods of assessing special education students for assistive technology devices within the public school setting. Several different assessments, strategies and frameworks for assessment will be examined. Participants will learn the importance of using a team approach when assessing a student for assistive technology and they will learn the different variables that must be considered when trying to match a student with a device.
Note: This course is required for the Assistive Technology Training Program.
