Opportunities for classroom success are offered through music, as teachers help students to become sensitive and active listeners with the ability to make aesthetic judgements. Participants will find themselves learning the elements of music, learning to 'make meaning' through music to generate curiosity and imagination in the student while making the language arts connection. Strategies in generating a comprehensive music arts program are explored based on the standards and latest local and state research.
