Chrissy Palumbo Krotzer

Bio

Christine Palumbo (Chrissy) earned her PhD from the University of Arizona Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) interdisciplinary program, and master’s degrees in Applied Linguistics from the University of Maryland and the University of Arizona minoring in Teacher Training in Education (TTE) from the College of Education. Christine has developed pre and in-service teacher development programs in the United States, Asia, Africa, Central, and South America and has been a second language and foreign language consultant, teacher educator, and international trainer for the US Department of State and the US English Language Fellow Program. Dr. Palumbo also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone and later as a Peace Corps Volunteer Response (PCVR) in Costa Rica. Chrissy joined the Virtual Service Pilot Program serving in Timor Leste and again in Addis Ababa for the US Peace Corps. Her research interests include macro assessment, second-language assessment, and the role of culture in society.
