MaryLynne Kerman
Bio
MaryLynne Kerman has nearly two decades of experience in a variety of educational settings. At Hebrew Union College she has taught four courses in teaching, reading, and writing. She additionally coaches students in meeting the requirements for teaching licensure in the state of California.She currently has a private educational therapy practice based in Southern California, working with clients from 5 years old through adult. Her main focus areas are literacy support and executive functioning coaching.
MaryLynne previously served as the Director of Student Services & Literacy at Sinai Akiba Academy in Los Angeles where she oversaw support for PreK though 8th grade students. She also taught a variety of grade levels and served as a Reading Specialist in public schools in Massachusetts and New York.
She has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. She has her Master's Degree as a Literacy Specialist from Teachers College - Columbia University.
MaryLynne's greatest passions include supporting teachers with the huge variety of students they meet in their learning spaces. She wants them to feel confident, capable, and excited about the differences they can make. In her free time MaryLynne enjoys reading and cooking.
