Fatima Hussain

Bio

Fatima's love of science and exploration started at San Jose State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry. She studied the formation and impacts of acid-organic films on upper tropospheric and lower stratospheric aerosol products while working in an atmospheric chemistry lab. After that, she worked on environmental remediation, specifically creating porous metal oxide materials to remove pollutants from water, while earning her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis. She loved working as a Teaching Assistant during her Ph.D., working with students and igniting their passion has always felt rewarding.
