Gina Greco
Bio
Dr. Gina Greco is a Program Manager, educator, designer, and creative strategist with expertise spanning design, user experience, photography, instructional design, and digital media. At UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies, she oversees multiple professional certificate programs and works closely with instructors and industry professionals to develop career-focused, student-centered learning experiences.
Before joining UC San Diego, Gina worked in the advertising, design, and technology industries, served as a lead instructor at The Art Institute, and founded Portfolio Studio and Portfolio Masterclass. Her background combines creative leadership with extensive experience in higher education, curriculum development, branding, and portfolio mentorship. Throughout her career, she has helped students and emerging professionals build award-winning creative work recognized by organizations and publications including the ADDYs, Clios, Print, HOW, Archive, and Applied Arts.
Gina holds a BA in Communication and Visual Arts from University of California San Diego, along with graduate degrees in Educational Leadership and Instructional Leadership. Her teaching and program development philosophy centers on creativity, practical application, mentorship, and helping students develop the confidence and strategic thinking needed for today’s evolving creative industries.
