Derek C. Dailey received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2004 and his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from USC. He is a partner in the San Diego office of Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, specializing in patent prosecution. He works with clients to develop strategies for patent protection both in the U.S. and elsewhere, coordinating prosecution of patent portfolios of all sizes.
Mr. Dailey’s background is in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on structural and solid mechanics and thermal systems design. His practice spans a wide range of technologies, including complex mechanical matters, clean technology, MEMS devices and continuously variable transmissions for use in bicycles to heavy trucks.
