Bio

Hello everyone! My name is Jin Choi, and I am a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician specializing in non-operative sports medicine and primary care. I am from Southern California but recently moved to the Bay Area with my family. Besides my normal clinical practice, I am passionate about education, and I continue to teach residents and medical students on a regular basis.
I received my bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego, with a major in human biology and a minor in music. I attended medical school at A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, and completed my family medicine residency at Northridge Family Medicine Program, an affiliate of UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where I served as a chief resident during my last year of residency. I then completed my sports medicine fellowship at University of California, San Diego. As part of my fellowship, I worked with UCSD, San Diego State University, Major League Rugby, USA Women’s Water Polo team, and Torrey Pines High School. I still continue to work with Major League Soccer, local high schools, colleges, and help cover variety of sporting events.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, snowboarding, and spending time with my family.
I am very excited to be your instructor for this course. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, or if you simply want to say hello!
