Chiara Cescon
Bio
Chiara Cescon is a higher education professional, educator, and program manager with more than 15 years of international experience across education, business development, client relations, program management, and community engagement in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
At UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies, Chiara manages professional education programs in Human Resource Management and Fundraising & Development, working at the intersection of education, workforce development, industry, and community. She collaborates with instructors, industry leaders, professional associations, nonprofits, and community partners to create relevant learning experiences, strengthen connections between education and the workplace, and support professionals at different stages of their careers.
Throughout her career, Chiara has worked with diverse audiences ranging from students and adult learners to international clients and senior-level corporate professionals. Her experience spans higher education, corporate learning, hospitality and travel, startups, arts and culture, and the nonprofit sector, giving her a broad, cross-cultural perspective on how people and organizations learn and grow.
A lifelong learner herself, Chiara is passionate about bringing people and ideas together, building meaningful relationships, and creating educational experiences that are practical, engaging, and empowering. She holds a Master’s degree in Translation and Interpretation from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and works across Italian, English, and Spanish.
Beyond UC San Diego, Chiara is actively involved in the San Diego community, serving on the Board of the Washington Elementary School Foundation and the San Diego Committee of Italian Women USA. She is also passionate about music and dance and values education, inclusion, sustainability, and building stronger communities.
