Meaghan Beckner

Bio

Dr. Meaghan Beckner is a researcher in human performance, with a focus on physiological and metabolic adaptations to stress and recovery. She recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM). During her doctoral training, Dr. Beckner investigated the role of extracellular vesicles as a potential biomarker of resilience during simulated military operational stress. With nearly ten years of experience conducting research in military personnel, her work bridges fundamental science and applied research to enhance performance in high-stress environments. Dr. Beckner holds a B.S. in Exercise Science, an M.S. in Health and Physical Activity, and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences, all from the University of Pittsburgh.
