Stacie Elamparo has been an RN for over 25 years, specializing in mental health and substance abuse. For the past 21 years, she has been in case management leadership roles in both the hospital and managed care settings.
She is currently the Director of Case Management & Social Work at Sharp Memorial Hospital & Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns. She leads a team of over 60 staff in the Case Management, Utilization Review and Social Work departments. Under Stacie’s leadership, her previous team at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital received Sharp HealthCare’s prestigious Pillar Award for significantly reducing denied days, resulting in a $2.3 million increase in revenue. During her tenure at Aurora Behavioral Health and Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, Optum awarded both facilities their Platinum status for best ranked scores in length of stay, readmission rates, and HEDIS follow-up. Stacie also enjoys providing trainings to physicians, nurses, psychology interns, and social workers on documentation, medical necessity, and case management topics.
Stacie is passionate about advocating for those struggling with mental health and substance abuse and desires to educate and inspire others to consider a career in these areas.
