Macoe Swett teaches Adobe Illustrator I for the Communication Design certificate program and Visual Communications: Fundamentals of Design for the accelerated Graphic & Web Design certificate program. Macoe holds an MFA in graphic design from Miami International School of Art and Design and a BFA in communication design from Kutztown University. She teaches illustration and typography at The Art Institute of California–San Diego and The Art Institute Online. Swett is also a professional graphic designer and illustrator and a member of AIGA.
