Kerry N. McKay


Kerry is a retired consumer electronics engineer. He helped bring Hewlett Packard's first digital photo printing systems to market. He has worked in many photographic areas, including food, family portrait, band (music), headshots, product, auto and travel.

After two years of photographic work, Kerry was asked to share his collected works at a local gallery. He has a love of photography for the simple joys of creation & discovery and has a passion for helping photographers on their path of growth.

Kerry is an enrolled tribal member of the Blackfeet Nation. This has informed his projects. His current portrait project is oriented towards questions of identity. During portrait sittings, he enjoys the collaboration of photographer and subject, and particularly, revealing the subject's concept of self.

Kerry's other interests include performing live music, bicycling, ocean-swimming, motorcycling and staying active in the community through volunteering.
