Jennifer Hewitson teaches Drawing I: Focus on Perception for the UC San Diego Extension Art and the Creative Process Professional Certificate. She also teaches Children's Book Illustration II: Focus on Style for the UC San Diego Extension Children's Book Illustration Professional Certificate. She has a BFA in illustration from California State University Long Beach, has been a freelance illustrator since 1986, and has been nationally recognized for her editorial, publishing/ children’s books, and advertising work. She has taught illustration at Laguna College of Art and Design, California State University San Diego, and Palomar College in San Marcos.
