Extension to co-present Diamond District Collective Impact Panel: 'Process begins with data collection'
UC San Diego Extension is partnering with the Jacobs Center with the goal of increasing awareness of the many important social, health, education and job development programs in the Diamond District of Southeastern San Diego.
Jacobs Center: "...measuring the effectiveness of these worthwhile community programs."
To that end, Extension and the Jacobs Center will facilitate the Diamond District Collective Impact Panel on Tuesday, July 8.
The special-invitation event will bring together leaders of over 50 community-based organizations and agencies, at the Joe & Vi Jacobs Center (404 Euclid Ave, San Diego, CA 92114).
Support for the roundtable will be provided by Extension and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Extension dean Mary L. Walshok will preside, along with Josh Shapiro, director of Extension’s Center for Research on the Regional Economy.
“Together, we will explore how to assess their collective impact, a process that begins with data collection,” said Dean Walshok. “This kind of information is increasingly important both to funders and government agencies in measuring the effectiveness of these worthwhile community programs."
