Laws and Professional Ethics for SUD Treatment

PSY-40410

Build a strong foundation in the legal and ethical responsibilities of SUD counselors, with an emphasis on California-specific regulations. This course explores key topics such as confidentiality, privacy laws (including 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA), ethical principles, dual relationships, informed consent, and mandated reporting. Learners apply these concepts to real-world counseling scenarios to ensure professional, compliant, and ethical practice.
