Advanced Digital Editing using Adobe Premiere

This course builds on knowledge and skills gained in the Introduction to Video Editing with Adobe Premiere course. It is designed for people who are familiar with Premiere Pro, and want to take their editing skills to the next level. The student must be familiar with browsing, logging on, setting up project, editing, and exporting edited timeline platforms in Adobe Premiere. The course will cover advanced strategies for color correction, media management, post production work such as special effects, multi-camera editing, the creation of open and closed captioning, and editing video for virtual reality applications. We will also cover many intermediate and advanced editing techniques, and also introduce the students to the full suite of audio and video programs in Creative Cloud including: Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, and Prelude. Students will complete four projects/exercises including: Advanced Color Correction, a Multi-Camera Music Video, Creating a Title Sequence, and an Experimental Dream Sequence. Students may work with provided footage for all assignments or shoot their own material.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Video Editing using Adobe Premiere (ART-40675) or equivalent experience.

Materials: Students must have access to a computer with Adobe Premiere/ Creative Cloud installed to complete this course.   Suggested Equipment*: 256GB Minimum External Harddrive, Headphones
*This equipment is not required to complete this course but would be helpful to enrolled students.
