A comprehensive overview of the clinical practice of medicine, this course is designed for those who would like to enhance their knowledge of the medical field and the health care system in the U.S. The course bridges the gap between industry practice, academic medicine, advanced research degree programs, & other health care clinical initiatives.

Topics include complexities related to multiple health care providers and sites of delivery, available health information in the digital age, payment for health care, consumer-driven utilization of health care, and the basis for health care reform. Lessons include Medical Anatomy & Physiology; Hospital Anatomy; Health Care Economics; Patient Privacy; Medical Errors & Patient Safety; Evidence-Based Medicine; & Introduction to Medical Research.
 

Other Credits: Registered Nurses and Licensed Clinical Social Workers: 20 hours of relicensure credit. BRN Board does not award partial credits.
