Bio
Clifton Emison is a “retired” Paralegal Supervisor with the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, with over 25+ years of experience. He remains active in criminal justice and legal community associations as well as serving on numerous advisory boards. In addition to teaching for UCSD Division of Extended Studies, he has spent the last seventeen plus years teaching criminal justice and paralegal studies courses at various colleges and universities. Additionally, Mr. Emison has been a licensed CA private investigator for the last 14 years.
Mr. Emison's practical work experience is augmented by his formal education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico, a Master’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University and a Juris Doctor degree from National University School of Law. In his spare time, Mr. Emison enjoys reading, fine dining, all things criminal justice and spending time with his lovely wife.
