Antoni Gaudi favored curves rather than straight lines and also utilized textures and vibrant colors. Le Courbusier placed his buildings on stilts and incorporated flat roofs that could accommodate gardens. Frank Gehry designed the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, built to resemble both a ship and a living creature. I.M. Pei is known for creating the architectural style called Brutalism.
