Lean Six Sigma & Supply Chain

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt* are electives in the Supply Management Program:

  • Collaborate with Master Black Belt instructors and peers on real-life and simulated projects
  • In-class program provides hands-on mentorship on a project from your organization with a minimum annual savings goal of $40k for Green Belt and $100k for Black Belt.
  • Earn an additional certificate in addition to Supply Management.
*Students who successfully complete the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program can apply earned units to the Supply Management program, satisfying all of the elective units required for the certificate.

Do I need to apply to the certificate before enrolling in classes?

We recommend applying to the certificate prior to starting the program. However, all classes are open to the public and you may enroll in individual courses without joining the certificate program. This is great for working professionals who may just want to pick up specific skills.

By applying to the certificate, you ensure all coursework you complete will count toward the certificate program and you will receive regular updates and reminders from program advisors to help keep you on track.

If you have already taken some courses in the program, but not yet applied to the certificate, it is not too late. You may apply to the certificate and have past coursework counted toward the program requirement provided it was completed within the past five years and you received a grade of C- or better.

How do I enroll in classes?

Most students enroll directly through our website by navigating to the course page they want and clicking the "Add to Cart" button. Check out this short instructional video https://youtu.be/_JgH9co4nFQ for exact steps.

You will be able to view your courses in My Extension within 24 business hours after submitting your enrollment.

How are online classes formatted?

Most, but not all, of our online courses are asynchronous, which means that you can login and complete your work anytime 24/7. The lessons for each week are accessible online. While you can view the lectures and participate at your preferred time, you will have weekly assignments, quizzes and/or tests that are due on specific dates.

Can this certificate be completed fully online?

Yes! Students can take this program fully online in the convenience of your home or office. All of the required courses and most of the electives can be completed in a fully online environment. Some elective options also have traditional in-class formats as well. For online courses, all assignments, tests and quizzes can be completed online.

Is there any financial aid associated with this program?
