Learn about the process by which a film goes through independent & studio marketing and distribution and gain the terminology, vocabulary, and basic film knowledge of the financial side of the entertainment industry. You will study the marketing strategies for independent distribution, film festival strategy, and DIY materials for releasing independent films.This film class covers distribution & streaming models and materials required for marketing independent features and shorts, both documentary and fiction films worldwide.

Reitman, Greg
Greg Reitman is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, author, and founder of the Blue Water Film Festival based in San Diego. He runs Blue Water Entertainment an independent production company focusing on environmentally conscious broad based entertainment. He earned his BA with an emphasis in History & Film from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He’s an alum at the Jewish Federation - Tel Aviv University Masters Creative Producing program. He also received a Masters Certificate in Film Production, Marketing & Distribution at UCLA Extension. He is an active member of the DGA (Directors Guild of America), IDA (Int’l Documentary Assn) and DPA (Documentary Producers Alliance).
