Featured Speaker: Melissa Jones, M.A.
The journey toward American women’s
enfranchisement, spanning the late nineteenth
century into the early twentieth century, was
persistently defined by a spirit of female courage,
perseverance and loud mobilization. Through this
lecture, you will learn about the activists who
lived this movement through two general lenses:
first, through the stories of individual suffragists
themselves; and second, through the greater
narratives of the movement at the state and national
levels, as well as within communities of color.
