Featured Speaker: Allison DeDonato, M.H.L.
Over the last decade, we have seen a sharp increase in large-scale disasters that have significant financial and operational impacts on health systems. This presentation will provide insight into the role of Hospital Emergency Managers and the services they provide to help hospitals plan for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. Attendees will get a glimpse into emergency preparedness and response efforts at UC San Diego Health and lessons learned from recent incident responses. Additional information will be presented about personal preparedness and the importance of preparing your household for disasters.
Presenter Biography
Allison DeDonato has worked in the field of Emergency Management for over 10 years, beginning her career with the American Red Cross. She currently serves as the Emergency Manager for UC San Diego Health, preparing faculty and staff to prevent, prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from emergencies or disasters that impact medical-center operations.
