refiregraphic.jpgKen Blanchard, author of "The One Minute Manager," which has sold 13 million copies since being published in 1982, will be the featured speaker at UC San Diego at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the UC San Diego Price Center East Ballroom.

Blanchard, who has written 30 best-selling books themed on motivation and leadership, will discuss his latest book, "Refire! Don’t Retire: Make the Rest of the Life the Best of Your Life," co-authored with UC San Diego School of Medicine psychologist Morton Shaevitz. The discussion will be moderated by Mary L. Walshok, Associate Vice Chancellor, Public Programs, UC San Diego and Dean, UC San Diego Extension.

Together, the San Diego-based authors weave poignant life stories and humorous anecdotes with their own experiences, wisdom, and advice. The message to those in their 50s, 60s and beyond: View each day as an opportunity to enhance their relationships, stimulate their minds, revitalize their bodies, and grow spiritually.
