Featured Speaker: John P. Smith
After reviewing what fusion energy is, this lecture will discuss the status of ITER, the international fusion program in Southern France. Its operation could pave the way for commercial fusion power. Equally interesting, the talk will also address the emergence of several privately funded fusion programs. The involvement of venture capital hints that fusion’s future may be visible.
