Al Whitley is a principal at Whitley Consulting Group, an architectural practice which provides specialized CAD and BIM support for commercial, government, hospital and biotech projects. Whitley and his staff have received numerous awards for their work on project efficiency optimization, project documentation and computer visualization.
Whitley has been an instructor at UC San Diego Extension for over 25 years and developed the CAD/BIM specialized certificate program. He is also the principal at cadteacher | Virtual Design & Construction Institute, www.vdci.edu a student-centric online learning environment.
Whitley holds an MBA in information systems from San Diego State University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of William & Mary. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and he also chairs the Autodesk Training Center Leadership Council for North America.
