Julio Calderon started his career in mobile telecommunications after receiving his master's in electrical engineering from Cornell University. He transitioned into project management after holding roles as systems engineer, testing engineer and product manager. In his career, he has held roles in project and program management in various industries, including telecommunications, IT and in banking. He is currently a Senior IT Project Manager at Qualcomm and manages a portfolio of data access management programs and projects.
Calderon has a track record of successfully managing teams in complex projects and programs, on time and within budget. He is adept in leading cross-functional teams from multiple disciplines (including sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance, IT, engineering and quality). He continues to learn new disciplines and technologies to optimize his project management skills. One of Calderon’s areas of interest is in PPM (Portfolio Project Management) software systems. As a project manager, he strives to succeed in projects by employing “strategy, communication and productivity.”
Calderon is a certified Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (LSSBB).
