Jessica Newman is an artist, designer, author and professor. Her paintings focus on urban landscapes. In addition to UC San Diego Extension, she teaches at the Newschool of Architecture and Design and the Art Institute of California-San Diego, where she has been teaching for 14 years. She is also an internationally published author. Her textbook "Perspective and Sketching for Designers" has been published in both English and Chinese. She has a youtube channel under the same title as the book, with over 30 free instructional videos for students.
